The Story...
At Wellbeing HQ, Professor Hugh and Brian know everything.
Every mood swing. Every sleepless night. Every moment a student gives up on something they care about. Every lunch eaten alone. Logged, tracked, filed. Across every PERMAH pillar — Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment, Health — the data is complete.
But data alone can only tell you so much.
When three urgent wellbeing cases flash up on the system — a student struggling with sleep and anxiety, a student whose grit and resilience have hit zero, a student whose loneliness is quietly off the charts — Hugh and Brian realise that understanding a problem and actually helping someone through it are two very different things.
What follows is a funny, moving and genuinely unforgettable exploration of the three biggest wellbeing challenges facing young people in UK schools today. Curriculum-mapped throughout, Data Detectives brings PSHE, RSE, SMSC and British Values to life on stage — covering sleep and recovery, grit and resilience, and friendships and connection in a way that makes every child in the room feel seen, heard and ready to talk.
